School Advisory Council & Social and Fundraising Committee

The School Advisory Council meet at least once a term and is an advisory, not a decision-making body.

Chairperson: Mrs Lowanna Sweeney
Parish Priest: Fr Paddy Sykes
Principal: Mrs Angela Scott
Secretary: Mrs Amanda Riley
Members: Mr Alex Kearins, Mr Adam White, Mr Nick Wood, Mrs Lisa Oliver, Mr Adam White, Mr Michael Tracey and Mr Mark Halliburton.

At the end of last year, we conducted an Open Parent Forum to discuss the re-establishment of the previous social and fundraising body known as the Parents & Friends Association (P&P). The P&F was historically quite an active group in our school but started to fizzle out due to a lack of support.

From this meeting, we set up another meeting date at Merv’s Cafe. Twenty-three enthusiastic parents attended the meeting which was an excellent show of interest and support. At this meeting, we discussed that the P&F can no longer exist, but instead, a Social and Fundraising Committee can. This committee will operate as an arm of the School Advisory Council and at least one member of the School Advisory Committee must serve on this committee. The membership of this committee or any other committees which may be formed is not confined to School Advisory Council Members only.

Everyone is welcome to attend the Social & Fundraising Committee Meetings!
